‘Ghar Nirman Fest 2082’ Announced to Strengthen Nepal’s Construction Ecosystem

Kathmandu, November 29, 2025
With the aim of promoting innovation, transparency, and collaboration in Nepal’s construction sector, the organizers have officially announced Ghar Nirman Fest 2082, a national-level exhibition scheduled to take place from Paush 12 to 15 at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.

The fest is being organized at a time when Nepal’s construction and housing sector is witnessing intensified competition, rapid urbanization, and growing consumer demand for quality, technology-driven, and cost-effective building solutions. Despite this growth, stakeholders continue to face challenges related to market access, standardization of brands, direct engagement with consumers, and reliable dissemination of technical information.

According to the organizers, Ghar Nirman Fest 2082 is conceptualized as a response to these gaps. The exhibition aims to create a common platform for construction material producers, contractors, engineers, architects, designers, and consumers to interact directly and engage in informed decision-making. Advanced construction materials, modern technologies, infrastructure-related solutions, and design innovations are expected to be showcased during the event.

The organizers estimate that the four-day exhibition could generate economic transactions worth more than NPR 20 billion, reflecting the sector’s growing contribution to the national economy. More than 40,000 visitors are expected to attend the event, indicating strong public interest in housing, infrastructure development, and home construction-related services.

Beyond product displays, the fest is designed to serve as an information and learning hub for the general public. Visitors will have the opportunity to consult directly with engineers, architects, construction material experts, and industry professionals on issues related to design choices, construction costs, quality assurance, and legal procedures associated with house building in Nepal.

A key highlight of the exhibition includes the display of a model house, intended to demonstrate the practical application of materials such as tiles, ceramics, fittings, insulation, and other modern construction components. Additionally, a consumer-focused incentive program, including a lucky draw featuring an electric scooter, has been introduced to encourage engagement.

To ensure visitor convenience, facilities such as parking, food services, children’s play areas, and access to nearby hotels and restaurants have been arranged at the venue. Participating businesses and brands will receive an opportunity to directly present and promote their products and services to a diverse audience.IMG_20251129_005208-1764356895.jpg

Organizers believe that Ghar Nirman Fest 2082 will contribute positively to improving consumer awareness, strengthening coordination among stakeholders, and supporting the long-term development of Nepal’s construction industry through informed choice, innovation, and accountability.
