Kathmandu, November 14, 2025
Tamor Dhungesanghu Power Transmission Company Limited (TDPTCL), a key player in Nepal’s growing energy sector, successfully concluded its first Annual General Meeting (AGM) today. The company, established as a special purpose vehicle (SPV), is dedicated to the development, ownership, and operation of the crucial 32-kilometer Tamor-Dhungesanghu 220 kV transmission line.

The meeting, which was attended by key stakeholders, including investors, officials from the Ministry of Energy, and industry leaders, marked an important milestone for the company. The TDPTCL project is poised to enhance Nepal’s electricity transmission capacity, facilitating better energy distribution and stability in the region, and supporting the national grid.

At the AGM, the company outlined its achievements over the past year, including the progress made on the transmission line project. The line, once completed, is expected to significantly improve the reliability of electricity supply in the region, which is critical to the development of Nepal’s industrial and economic landscape.

The company also discussed its long-term strategic goals and the next phases of the project, emphasizing the importance of private-sector involvement in Nepal’s energy sector. In his address, the company’s Chairman reiterated the importance of continuing to build and strengthen Nepal’s energy infrastructure to meet the growing demands of the population and industries.IMG_20251114_172321-1763120414.jpg
