The company, established in 1973, has been operating successfully in Nepal through its partner RK Overseas.

In a strategic leadership move, the company’s board has elevated Mr. Vasumitra Pandey as the Chief Executive Officer for Lighting and Durables. Mr. Pandey brings a wealth of industry experience, having served for nearly eight years in sales and over a decade managing manufacturing operations. In his recent role, he headed operations for the Lighting, Durables, and PVC category, where he played a key role in driving efficiency and market competitiveness.
Mr. Pandey’s familiarity with the Nepalese market, through previous visits and business engagements, is seen as a positive sign for the company’s regional growth strategy. Industry observers expect that under his leadership, Surya Roshni will strengthen its footprint in Nepal’s lighting and electrical goods sector, catering to both urban and rural demand.
