Kathmandu, July 21, 2025 - The Nepal Dalmoth Producers Association (NDPA) celebrated its 21st annual festival today with a vibrant and unifying gathering of dalmoth producers from across the country. Held at Sunrise Cafe and Banquet in Mid-Baneshwor, Kathmandu, the event marked two decades of the Association’s contribution to Nepal's indigenous snack industry and reaffirmed its commitment to quality production, collaboration, and market growth.
The event began at evening time and brought together small, medium, and large-scale dalmoth producers, traders, and stakeholders under one roof. The program featured reflections on the journey of the Association since its establishment, the challenges faced by the traditional snack industry, and strategies for maintaining standards and expanding market access both domestically and internationally.
Organized under the guidance of the Association’s Executive Committee, the program also served as a networking platform for producers scattered throughout Nepal. Committee members emphasized the importance of innovation, hygiene, and branding in sustaining the popularity of dalmoth-a traditional Nepali spicy snack that continues to gain traction in urban and export markets.
The celebration concluded with a communal dinner and a call to action for stronger cooperation and knowledge-sharing among members. Participants expressed gratitude for the sense of unity fostered by the event and optimism about the future of Nepal’s local food processing industries.
As the NDPA steps into its 21st year, the Association aims to further support policy advocacy, quality assurance mechanisms, and capacity-building efforts for its members across the country.
