The certification was formally announced at a press conference held at the Nepal Tourism Board, Kathmandu, in the presence of officials, tourism stakeholders, and sustainability experts. This recognition places Nepal on the global map for responsible and environmentally conscious hospitality practices.
What the Certification Means
Travelife is an internationally respected sustainability certification scheme, based in the UK, that helps hotels and accommodation providers manage their social and environmental impacts effectively. The certification process involves an independent audit and detailed assessment of an establishment’s performance in areas such as:

Biodiversity protection
Support for local communities and culture
Fair employment practices
Guest awareness and education on sustainability
