Youth Group in Ghorahi Leads the Way in Recycling and Employment Creation

Ghorahi, Dang – In a remarkable initiative to address waste management and promote sustainability, a group of 10 young entrepreneurs from Ghorahi, Dang, has successfully established a scrap factory that is not only contributing to environmental conservation but also generating local employment.

The factory collects discarded items such as paper, plastic, bottles, iron, and other recyclable materials from households across the region. These materials are then meticulously sorted at the facility, ensuring reusable items are repurposed and reintroduced into the market. This initiative has provided employment opportunities for nine individuals, making a significant impact on the local community.

According to the founders, the idea stemmed from a desire to reduce waste and demonstrate the economic value hidden in discarded items. “We wanted to create a model where waste is seen as a resource rather than a burden,” said one of the members.

This endeavor has gained recognition for its dual benefits: promoting a cleaner environment while uplifting the community through job creation. The initiative also highlights the power of collective action and innovation in tackling pressing environmental challenges.

The group’s story is a testament to the fact that small-scale initiatives can create meaningful change when driven by a shared vision and dedication. Their journey of turning "waste into wealth" serves as an inspiring example for others to follow.

As the global conversation around sustainability intensifies, efforts like these showcase how local solutions can contribute to broader environmental goals. Ecosphere News applauds the determination and impact of these young changemakers in Ghorahi.
