Chitwan - ForestAction Nepal has inaugurated a five-day Leadership Training on Forest Landscape Restoration at Bhimawali Community Homestay in Chitwan. The training brings together 25 participants from diverse communities, focusing on equipping them with essential skills and knowledge to lead forest restoration initiatives in their regions.

The first day of the program was marked by an inspiring session from Bhumi Raman Nepal, a legendary restoration champion. Sharing his remarkable journey of revitalizing degraded lands, Nepal encouraged participants to embrace leadership roles in restoring ecosystems. His impactful narrative served as a motivation for attendees to contribute meaningfully to forest landscape restoration efforts.

This initiative is supported by the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) and aims to foster community-led approaches to restoring degraded forests. The training combines practical field experiences and strategic leadership skills, empowering participants to drive sustainable environmental change at the grassroots level.
