WWF Nepal Calls for Proposals to Develop Environmental Education Materials on Mountain Ecosystems

Kathmandu - WWF Nepal has invited proposals to develop engaging environmental education guides and children’s learning materials focused on Nepal’s mountain ecosystems, with a special emphasis on snow leopard conservation.
According to WWF Nepal, the initiative aims to strengthen environmental awareness among schoolteachers and students by providing age-appropriate, creative, and scientifically accurate learning resources. The materials are expected to help young learners better understand mountain biodiversity, ecosystem services, climate challenges, and the importance of conserving iconic species such as the snow leopard.
Mountain ecosystems cover a significant portion of Nepal’s landscape and play a critical role in water security, climate regulation, and livelihoods. However, these fragile environments are increasingly threatened by climate change, habitat degradation, and human–wildlife conflict. WWF Nepal believes that early education is key to building long-term conservation stewardship.
The call is open to education experts, conservation practitioners, illustrators, content developers, and organizations with experience in environmental education and child-centered learning. Selected proposals will focus on developing interactive, inclusive, and locally relevant educational materials that can be used in classrooms and community learning settings.
Interested applicants can access detailed guidelines, eligibility criteria, and submission deadlines through WWF Nepal’s official website.
Through this initiative, WWF Nepal aims to inspire teachers and students across the country to become informed stewards of Nepal’s mountains and contribute to the long-term conservation of high-altitude ecosystems and wildlife.
