Kathmandu, August 17, 2025 - The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has successfully held the first meeting of the newly appointed Make in Nepal–Swadeshi Working Committee on August 15, 2025, marking a renewed momentum in the nationwide campaign to promote domestic industries.

The new working committee will be coordinated by Rohit Gupta, who has been appointed as Coordinating Vice President. He will be supported by Hitesh Golchha and Sanjay Golchha, who have joined as Advisors. Prashi Agrawal has been entrusted with the responsibility of Chair, while Vidushi Rana will serve as Co-Chair of the committee.

The committee also includes 16 general members drawn from diverse industrial sectors across Nepal, reflecting an inclusive leadership structure that brings together a wide range of expertise and perspectives.

According to CNI, the refreshed leadership team is expected to play a vital role in accelerating the campaign’s mission of empowering local industries, fostering self-reliance, and advancing Nepal’s economic strength under the vision of a stronger, self-sustaining nation.

Launched in 2021, the Make in Nepal–Swadeshi initiative has been working to encourage domestic production, reduce import dependency, and enhance the competitiveness of Nepali products in both national and international markets. With the newly formed committee, the campaign is set to gain further strategic direction and broader outreach.
