Ghorahi, June 20, 2025 - In a significant step towards promoting sustainable waste management, Clean Up Nepal handed over four metal cage-type waste bins to Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City. The bins were officially received by Mayor Mr. Narulal Chaudhary and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Section Lead Mr. Laxman Adhikari in a formal ceremony aimed at strengthening waste management efforts in public spaces.
Mayor Chaudhary expressed his gratitude to Clean Up Nepal for their valuable support and reaffirmed the city’s commitment to sustainable waste management practices. He emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts and community engagement to ensure long-term environmental benefits.
WASH Section Lead Mr. Adhikari highlighted the practical benefits of the new bins, stating that they are expected to play a key role in reducing open dumping, encouraging waste segregation, and fostering responsible disposal habits among residents.
The initiative aligns with the broader goals of achieving a zero-waste future for Ghorahi by improving waste collection systems and raising awareness about waste management within the community.
