Kathmandu - Tarkeshwar Municipality-3 has emerged as a new hotspot for adventure tourism near Kathmandu Valley. The recently established Ban Jungle Adventure has garnered attention for offering a variety of thrilling activities, attracting domestic and international tourists alike.

Located just 10 kilometers off the Kakani Highway, Panchmane, Ban Jungle Adventure provides a convenient escape for adventure enthusiasts living within Kathmandu’s Ring Road. The site offers a range of activities, including zip-lining, rock climbing, and bungee jumping, alongside Nepal’s first-ever roller coaster adventure experience.

Promoting Adventure Tourism
According to Elisa Dhakal, the operator of Ban Jungle Adventure, the facility aims to connect Kathmandu residents with nature and adventure, addressing the growing demand for exciting tourism experiences within close proximity to the city. “Our facility not only saves time for Kathmandu residents but also offers a unique blend of adventure and natural beauty,” said Dhakal.

Spread over 30 ropani (approximately 1.5 hectares), the adventure park features an array of attractions such as zip-lining, climbing walls, obstacle and high rope courses, treetop adventures, and giant swings. Visitors can also experience a distinctive stay in traditional Nepali-style houses or tents, complemented by cultural displays of traditional tools like dhiki and jato, preserving Nepal’s heritage.

A Safe and Engineered Experience
Constructed by the Indian Axo Consultancy within a year, the infrastructure meets rigorous engineering standards, ensuring safety for visitors. Dhakal emphasized that all adventurous activities are conducted under permits from the Tourism Department, and participants are fully insured.

Boosting Local Tourism
Ban Jungle Adventure has become a go-to destination for weekend visitors, with an influx of domestic tourists on Fridays and Saturdays. The park offers packaged adventure experiences, catering to both thrill-seekers and families.

With an investment of NPR 60 million, the facility has not only enriched the tourism offerings near Kathmandu but also introduced innovative adventure experiences, marking a significant milestone in Nepal’s tourism sector.

A Breath of Fresh Air
In addition to thrilling activities, the serene forest environment of V Ban Jungle Adventure provides a refreshing escape for visitors seeking relaxation amidst lush greenery and clean air.
