Biratnagar, Nepal: The Nepal Young Entrepreneurs Forum (NYEF), Biratnagar Chapter, is set to host the first-ever Nepal-India Young Entrepreneurs Conference on June 8, 2025 (Jestha 25) in Mechinagar, Jhapa. The landmark event aims to foster economic collaboration and cross-border partnerships between young entrepreneurs from Nepal and India.
Announcing the event at a press briefing in Biratnagar, Subham Bhattarai, President of NYEF Biratnagar Chapter, shared that the conference will welcome over 500 participants from the two neighboring countries. "The main goal of this initiative is to facilitate the exchange of ideas and skills, enhance business networking, and pave the way for long-term cooperation between young entrepreneurs of Nepal and India," Bhattarai said.
The program will feature networking opportunities, workshops, and discussions on critical themes such as cross-border entrepreneurship, the role of youth in policymaking, and innovations in startups. These sessions aim to encourage dialogue and strategic collaboration in key sectors, including agriculture, tourism, information technology, education, and services.
According to Bhattarai, the conference will leverage shared resources in the border areas to promote startups, thereby contributing to provincial economic development. "We believe this event will serve as a platform to explore the untapped potential of border regions and enhance bilateral cooperation through entrepreneurship," he added.
The event is expected to bring together young entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and representatives from both governmental and non-governmental sectors. By doing so, it aims to create a dynamic platform for exchanging expertise and fostering future collaborations that drive sustainable development.
This initiative comes at a crucial time when the relationship between Nepal and India is increasingly focused on collaborative approaches to development. The conference aligns with the broader goal of empowering youth to take a leading role in shaping economic and developmental policies.
The Nepal-India Young Entrepreneurs Conference is poised to mark a significant step in strengthening cross-border ties and advancing the shared vision of sustainable economic growth through youth-driven innovation.
