Narayangarh, Chitwan — A workshop titled "Climate Change: Impact and Adaptation" was successfully conducted at Balkumari College on May 16, 2025. The event focused on understanding and addressing climate change through effective mitigation and adaptation strategies.

The workshop was led by Ajay B. Mathema, Associate Professor and Principal of the School of Environmental Science and Management at Pokhara University. It provided a platform for students, academics, and local stakeholders to engage in discussions about the pressing challenges posed by climate change and potential solutions tailored to Nepal's unique environmental context.

Highlighting the increasing risks of climate-induced disasters, the workshop emphasized the need for collective action to minimize vulnerabilities and strengthen adaptive capacities. Discussions included the role of local communities, government policies, and international collaboration in combating climate change.

Participants appreciated the interactive format of the workshop, which combined expert lectures with group activities to deepen understanding of the complex dynamics of climate change.FB_IMG_1747377417194-1747377687.jpg
