The Asia-Pacific region is set to take a significant leap forward in addressing the climate crisis, as registration and session proposals open for the 9th Asia-Pacific Climate Change Adaptation Forum, scheduled to be held in Bangkok from 29 September to 3 October 2025.
Under the central theme “Resilience for All: Catalyzing Transformational Adaptation,” the forum will bring together an extensive network of stakeholders — from national governments and city leaders to private sector innovators, civil society actors, and cutting-edge researchers. The event is designed to foster transformative dialogue and action in response to the mounting impacts of climate change in one of the world’s most vulnerable regions.
Hosted by the Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research (APN) in collaboration with the United Nations ESCAP, Asian Development Bank, and supported by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the APAN Secretariat, the forum will emphasize inclusive, cross-sectoral approaches to resilience building.
🔍 Key Thematic Areas:
The forum will focus on four interlinked pathways crucial to the region’s adaptive future:
✅ Food and Agricultural Systems
✅ Land and Water Ecosystems and Biodiversity
✅ Infrastructure, Cities and Industries
✅ Health, Livelihoods and Societies
By engaging diverse voices and sharing scalable best practices, the forum aims to catalyze regional partnerships and transformational solutions that support national and local adaptation priorities, aligned with global climate goals.
Stakeholders across Asia and the Pacific are encouraged to participate by registering early and submitting session proposals that reflect innovative ideas, local experiences, and collaborative strategies for climate resilience.
