Landslide Rescue Operation in Jajarkot: 8 Injured Rescued, 4 Bodies Recovered

Jajarkot, Nepal: A search and rescue operation is underway following landslides in areas around Risang of Jajarkot District, with security personnel working alongside local residents to assist those affected.
A team from the Bhawani Dal Battalion, deployed from the evening of Shrawan 30, has been carrying out search and rescue efforts in coordination with other security agencies and local communities.
According to the information released by the Nepali Army, the rescue team has so far rescued eight injured people and recovered the bodies of four people who lost their lives in the landslide.
The team has also safely relocated around 300 local residents who were considered at risk because of the landslide, helping move them to safer locations.
The operation highlights the importance of coordinated emergency response during landslides and other disasters, particularly in Nepal's vulnerable hill and mountain regions during the monsoon season.
