Royal Tree Blooms in Dang, Adding Seasonal Beauty to Ghorahi

Dang, Nepal: The first blossoms of the royal tree (Rajbriksha) have begun to bloom within the premises of Salt Trading Corporation Limited in Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-15, marking the arrival of one of nature’s most visually striking seasonal displays.
The tree, scientifically known as Cassia fistula, is renowned for its cascading clusters of bright yellow flowers, which create a spectacular natural landscape during the flowering season. Commonly referred to as the “Golden Shower Tree,” Rajbriksha is valued not only for its ornamental beauty but also for its ecological and traditional significance across South Asia. The species is known for producing abundant yellow blossoms during the warmer months, often transforming entire landscapes into vibrant shades of gold.
The blooming of Rajbriksha in the Salt Trading Corporation premises has attracted the attention of local residents and visitors, offering a refreshing glimpse of nature amid the urban environment. Such flowering trees contribute to the aesthetic appeal of cities while also providing habitat and resources for various pollinators, including bees and butterflies.
In Nepal, Rajbriksha is found mainly in the lowland regions and is recognized for both its environmental and traditional medicinal importance. Researchers have noted that different parts of the tree have been used in traditional medicine, while its striking flowers make it a popular ornamental species in public spaces and gardens.
As the flowering season progresses, the golden blooms are expected to remain a natural attraction in Ghorahi, highlighting the importance of preserving and promoting urban greenery that enhances biodiversity and community well-being.
