Kathmandu - Journalists specializing in business and environmental reporting from Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, and Thailand are invited to participate in a virtual media workshop this August aimed at enhancing climate-focused journalism.
Organized with a regional lens, the three-day workshop will explore critical themes such as environmental accountability, corporate contributions to climate change, financial solutions for reducing emissions, and public advocacy for climate action in Asia's business sector.
Participants will engage with a diverse panel of experts, including researchers, policymakers, industry leaders, and community representatives. Key topics include the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks, strategies for achieving Net Zero emissions, the issue of corporate greenwashing, and innovative approaches to bridging the climate finance gap.
The workshop encourages an accountability-driven and solutions-oriented approach to climate reporting. Journalists who attend all sessions will be eligible to apply for story grants to cover these crucial themes.
Interested applicants can submit their applications in English, Thai, or Bahasa Indonesia by July 13, 2025. Further details are available at https://loom.ly/0fgFX0k.
This initiative highlights the pivotal role of the media in driving awareness and action in the business sector to tackle climate challenges across Asia.
